Malaysia Airports Concessionaires Conference and Award is an annual event held by Malaysia Airports to discuss on travel retail and to recognize the outstanding performance and innovative approach by the retailers in the airport.
Last year, this design was voted the Best Store Design 2019.
Little Malaysia carries a twist of Malaysian traditional concept and modern geometrical ideas are instilled in the design. Geometrical wooden structure is used on the ceiling, and the “wau” (traditional kite) and “beca” (tricycle) are used to enhance the store interior . Both stores have made full use of the local cultural architecture to match the products sold.
